Felipe Rendón is a new associate to our firm and brings with him over eight years of legal experience and civil rights advocacy. Prior to joining our firm, Felipe was an Assistant Attorney General with the Oregon Department of Justice where he represented the Department of Human Services in juvenile dependency proceedings. While in law school, he externed for the Honorable Darleen Ortega of the Oregon Court of Appeals and served as a Legal Intern and Legislative Aide for an Oregon State Representative. He has a long history of civil rights advocacy with various nonprofits including the Urban League of Portland and Outserve/SLDN (now known as the Modern Military Association of America), where he advocated for the civil rights of marginalized communities in Oregon and U.S. Service Members nationwide. Felipe earned his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from New York University. He is licensed to practice law in Oregon and is pending admission to the bar in New York. Felipe was born in Colombia and raised in New York. He and his wife recently moved back to New York after spending some time living in Florida and Oregon. They now happily reside in Long Island along with their three cats and their Great Pyrenees, Murphy.  He loves pizza and the occasional long walk on the beach.
